Prophet (saws) lived for 3-4 days after the Pen incident
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
My brother, did
you read what I wrote "why would the Prophet ask for a pen and paper if he
did not know how to write or that they denied writing something for the
Prophet." I am by no means implying that the Prophet knew how to
write. I am making a comparision.. the Prophet wanted something to be
written and the companions that were there quarreled in response and Umar
stated that the "Quran is enough for us". We don't know if Hz.
Ali was even with the companion so we should leave his name out of the
discussion. We do know some of those who were there when it occur..Abbas,
Umar, and Abu Bakr specifically. We also know the companions argued and
got upset...which made the Prophet (saw) upset as well. So not all the
companions supported Umar's view on the matter.
Now to your points:
Please provide
evidence that Prophet got better and lived 3-4 days after this incident.
Secondly Zayd bin Thabit was the Prophets scribe. His last statements
could have already been stated verbially, but not in writing (maybe he wanted
it written).
What has all this to do with Allah's guidance? The Prophet and his
message of Allah was Allah's guidance. Allah's Word and the Prophetic
sunnah are the guidance. The Quran and Ahlul Bayt are the guidance.
They are the sources and examples of the guidance that Allah and the Prophet
brought to the Ummah.
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above
statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and
statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet,
no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Your Comment: I am

It would be inconceivable to
imagine that the Prophet of Allah (saws) is unwell and probably on his
death-bed, and a noble companion of the stature of Hadrat Ali (r.a.) was not
there; as, according to you, he probably found something more important to
attend to! Be at is may, and as per
your request, lets leave the noble name of Hadrat Ali (r.a.) out of this
discussion!
For only a moment, lets imagine
what you are trying to imply from this incident:
The Prophet of Allah (saws)
wanted to say something which is very very important, and wanted to document
this saying. Although he (saws) could
have just said it and commanded that it be written down, but he (saws) chose
not to do that!
And just because one companion
said the Prophet (saws) needs rest and the Quran is enough for us, the other
noble companions have an argument which upsets the Messenger of Allah (saws) so
much that he (saws) refuses to reveal the Message which he has received from
Allah!!! To assume such a thing is not
to recognize the high position of Allah’s Messenger (saws). To assume such a thing is (Allah forbid) to
accuse the Prophet (saws) of not completing his mission and keeping something
with him which he was supposed to announce to the believers.
The Prophet (saws), who alone
took on the likes of Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab,
Waleed bin Mugheera, Utbah, Shaybah, etc. got intimidated by the objection of one companion and refused to
reveal the Message of Allah (saws)!!!!!!!
Unless you or the biased
historians have ‘aalemul ghaib’ (knowledge of the unseen), which is obviously
impossible as Allah Alone possesses this knowledge, HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY DETERMINE THAT THE PROPHET OF ALLAH (SAWS)
WANTED TO SAY WHAT YOU ‘WANTED’ HIM TO SAY???
Fear Allah, my beloved brother,
fear Allah before you try to justify your records and try to declare ‘your’
words through the mind of Rasool-Allah.
Fear Allah! We will all be
gathered on an Inevitable Day in the Court of Allah, where nothing will be
hidden from the Lord of the Worlds. Then
He will Judge with Justice among all His slaves!
It is said that if a person is
drowning, he will even hang on to a ‘twig’!!
Seems like some mis-guided people have tried to create the ‘twig’ by reading
the ‘mind’ of the Prophet of Allah from this one episode, to justify their
false claims.
Even if Imaam Ali ibn Abi Taalib
(r.a.) has became the first Khalifa, do you honestly think he would have
endorsed the practices of ‘shirk’ that people do in his noble name! Do you honestly think that building a tomb
on his grave is Islamic? Do you
honestly think that invoking his noble name with Allah is Islamic? Do you honestly think that performing
‘tawaaf’ around his tomb is Islamic? Do
you honestly think that calling on him while sitting, standing and lying down
is Islamic? Do you honestly think he is
the one who deserves the names of ‘mushkil-kusha’ (remover of perils) and
‘haajat-rawaa’ (answerer of prayers)?
Do you honestly think he would have endorsed breaking up the Ummah of
Islam in his name? Do you honestly
think, that all the sects that were created in his name like the Ismailis, Itna-Asharis, the Fivers, the
Seveners, the Eleveners, the Sulaimani Bohras, the Najmi Bohras, the Dawoodi Bohras, etc. are following the example of Hadrat Ali
(r.a.)? Do you honestly think that he
would have endorsed all the maatams, sabeels, niyaaz, etc.? Do you honestly think he would have allowed
you to curse and revile almost all the noble companions of the Messenger of
Allah (saws), when he himself named some of his sons Abu Bakr ibn Ali, Umar ibn
Ali, Uthman ibn Ali?
The truth is he was a noble soul
and one of the closest companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws). He spent his whole life in the service of
Allah and His Messenger (saws) and the deen of Islam. He lived his life on the principles of the Quran and the
guidance of the traditions of the Messenger of Allah (saws). He lived in Islam, and he was martyred for
the cause of Islam. Allah and His Messenger (saws) honored him in the life of
this world, and Allah has promised to honor him in the Hereafter.
The truth is some unscrupulous
and power-hungry people have furthered their own political and worldly cause by
using his noble name. They created
empires and kingdoms by creating fictitious stories and related them to the
masses in their own emotionally charged sermons. They succeeded in breaking up the Ummah of Islam by using his
name. The people who so claim to love
and eulogize Imaam Ali (r.a.), frankly have nothing to do with the high and
noble character of Hadrat Ali (r.a.).
Allah's Messenger
(saws) said to Hadrat Ali (r.a.) : "You have a resemblance to Jesus, whom the Jews hated so much that they
slandered his mother, and whom the
Christians loved so much that they placed him in a position not rightly
his." Ali said afterwards, "Two people will perish on my account,
one who loves me so excessively that he praises me for what I do not possess,
and one who hates me so much that he will be impelled by his hatred to slander
me."
Just look the state of the
people on the Day of Judgement, who loved Jesus so much that they placed him in
a position not rightly his, as related
by Allah Subhanah Himself in the Holy Quran.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse
116-118:Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary,
did you ever say to the people, “Make me and my mother deities besides
Allah?” Jesus will say, “Glory be to
You! It did not behove me to say that
thing which I had no right to say. Had
I ever said such a thing, You would most surely have known it, for You know all that is in my mind, but I do not know what is in Your mind. Indeed, You have full knowledge even of all
the hidden things. I never told them
anything other than what You bade me. I
said, ‘Worship Allah, Who is my Lord as well as your Lord.’ I was a witness to their conduct as long as
I remained among them, but when You recalled me, You watched over them: for You keep over everything. Now, if You punish them, they are Your own
servants, and if You forgive them, You
are the All Powerful and All Wise.”
Your Question:
Please provide evidence that Prophet got better and lived 3-4 days after this
incident.
This fact is available in almost
all the authentic books of History. I
had asked you earlier to provide us with the name of the Islamic History books
which you are satisfied with, but you
have chosen not to answer that. You
tell me which book of Islamic History you are willing to accept, and I will
provide the proof that the Prophet (saws) lived 3-4 days after this
incident!
Your Comment:
Secondly Zayd bin Thabit was the Prophets scribe.
Hadrat Zayeb ibn Thabit was not
the only scribe of the Messenger of Allah (saws). He had several scribes and one amongst them was none other than
Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.) himself!
After the death of the Messenger of Allah (saws), he never claimed what
you are so bent on claiming for him today!
Your Comment: The Prophet and his message of Allah was
Allah's guidance.
CORRECTION!!! The Prophet and his Message of Allah was
and IS The Guidance, and will
remain so till the end of time! Maybe
that is where the problem lies: some
people think that ‘WAS’ the guidance!
And now they have left that guidance, and taken guidance from the
History of the Muslims!!!!!!!!
Your Comment: Allah's Word and the Prophetic sunnah are
the guidance.
I bear witness to the fact that the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the
Messenger of Allah (saws) are the only sources of guidance. Maybe it is time the people who so ardently
follow ‘selected’ episodes from the History of the Muslims to come back to
these sources of guidance!
Your Comment: The Quran and Ahlul Bayt are the guidance.
CORRECTION!! The Holy Quran and the members of the noble
‘Ahle-Bayt’ of the Messenger of Allah (saws) who followed the Quran and Sunnah
can be used as examples of guidance. No
member of the noble ‘Ahle-Bayt’ changed, or is allowed to change the deen
revealed to the Messenger of Allah (saws).
Allah will never question you
and me on the Day of Qiyaamah about the noble ‘ahle-bayt’ of the Prophet
(saws). We will be accountable if we
followed the commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws) or not. The noble
‘ahle-bayt’ and the noble companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) will be
accountable for their deeds, and we for ours;
and one will not held responsible for the deeds of the other! What is important is that we follow Allah
and His Messenger (saws), if indeed we want to be guided aright!
May Allah open your and our
hearts to the understanding of this beautiful deen of Islam. May Allah guide us to come back to the true
deen of Islam as followed by the Messenger of Allah (saws), his noble companions,
and his noble ‘ahle-bayt’.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in
Islam,
