Allah and Quran
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Brother, I have read the letter addressed to you by one of your reader, as reproduced in your mail dated 30-08-2001.
The author in his letter has stated :
" I have been living all my over 40 years of life in vain without the true knowledge of Islam."
Be as it may !
Thereafter he has narrated your qualities. Truly you are worth the praise ! For 40 years of his life
according to Quran he did not know you.
Will it be right to assume that between Allah and Quran you presence will not be missed ? You are neither
Allah nor Quran. However your friend
missed your presence - this is a point to ponder. What will happen after you - of Quran and Allah? You
may be anyone but you are a Dawoodi only for name sake. You get your self known as a Muslim amongst the non
Dawoodi Bohras. What is wrong in it ?
Be as it may ! Please do not get irritated with my views. I have only
expressed the thoughts that passed my mind. Was there Allah before the
revelation of Quran ? What must have happened at that time ? Was the presence of Quran missed
? If our Haadi, Nabi Mohammad (saws) was not there, would it have ever
been possible to know the Quran ?
In the Quran there are various verses about the description of Allah.
There are some specific Ayats about
Allah. You must be aware of them. What will
happen to this world ? Are there not any believers of Quran other than
you? Between Allah and Quran who is
superior ? Without Quran it is not possible to believe in Allah and without
Allah Quran will not be believed - however
the rest of the world is still living, what will happen of them ? Will
it be possible to know from Allah ?
There are Surahs in the Quran about - Munafiq
, Jin and also Momin you must be aware of that.
I hope you will reply
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above
statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and
statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can
misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We
bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness
that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Firstly I would like to
apologize because I have really not understood your questions and will try
address each question with a specific answer.
Your comment: Will
it be right to assume that between Allah and Quran you presence will not be
missed ?
Yes, you would be right to
assume that. Our duty was only to
invite the brother to read and understand the Book of Allah, and Praise be to
Allah, the brother accepted our offer and read the Quran with
understanding. Our duty is only to
invite; it is only in the Domain and Power of Allah to guide someone to the
Path of Islam.
Your comment: What
will happen after you - of Quran
and Allah?
I am nothing but a mere mortal,
and like all human beings, I will live as long as Allah wills and then die. The
Glorious Quran will remain as the perfect Book of Guidance until the end of
time, Insha Allah. Allah is the
Ever-Living, and He will always remain Alive.
He will gather all of us on an Inevitable Day for an accounting. From Allah we have all come and to Him is
our ultimate return.
Your comment: Was
there Allah before the revelation of Quran ?
Allah Subhanah is the First and the
Last. There was nothing before Him, and He is the One Who created everything
that exists. The Quran are the very words of our Lord and Creator, which He has
revealed unto mankind for our guidance.
Your comment: What
must have happened at that time ? Was
the presence of Quran missed ?
The Holy Quran is a part of the
Book that is with Allah, which is termed ‘Al Lohh Al Mahfood’ in the Holy
Quran. The All-Mighty Lord creates
whatever He wants, whenever He wants!
All He has to say is ‘BE’ and it comes into being. That is the Power and
Might of Allah, the All Mighty, All Wise.
All the decisions of Allah are based on His Absolute Wisdom and
Knowledge, and nothing that He creates happens by accident. Everything in creation has a purpose and a
time determined by Allah. Everything
is under the absolute control of the All-Mighty.
Your comment: If
our Haadi, Nabi Mohammad (saws) was not
there, would it have ever been possible to know the Quran ?
This is obviously a hypothetical
question, and Allah Alone Knows the Answer Best. The Truth is that Allah revealed the Glorious Quran on the Last
Messenger (saws) to warn the disbelievers and give good news to the believers.
Your comment: What
will happen to this world ?
At the exact time appointed and
known by Allah Alone, this whole Universe will be destroyed and transformed
into another creation. Everything in
this Universe will perish, except the existence of the All Mighty Allah. He will then re-create and gather all the
human beings and jinns on the Day of Judgment for a full accounting of their
deeds.
Your comment: Are
there not any believers of Quran other than you?
There are hundreds of millions
of muslims who are guided by the Holy Quran in this world, and will Insha Allah
be continued to be guided until the end of time. It is indeed the Mercy and Grace of Allah that He has honored us
to be amongst His believing slaves.
Your comment:
Between Allah and Quran who is superior ?
There is absolutely nothing, I
repeat, nothing, superior to the All Mighty, All Powerful Lord of the Worlds,
Allah Subhanah! The Holy Quran are the
words and Signs of Allah, which He in His Sublime Mercy revealed unto us for
our guidance to the Straight Path of Islam.
Your comment: Without Quran it is not possible to believe
in Allah and without Allah Quran will not be believed –however the rest of the world is still living, what
will happen of them ?
The very first man on this
earth, Prophet Adam was a muslim and a Prophet, and he submitted his will to
Allah. There were muslims from day one
until the advent of the Quran; so, yes!
It was possible to believe in Allah without the Quran.
As regards the people who do not
believe in the guidance sent by Allah, they will live their lives for an
appointed time on the earth like all of us.
Then all will be gathered in the Court of Allah on an Inevitable Day and
whoever believed in Allah and His Messenger will be saved; and whoever denied
and rejected the guidance of Allah will be doomed.
Your comment :
Will it be possible to know from Allah ?
Absolutely! The very words of Allah are amongst us in
the form of the Holy Quran.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 70:And leave alone those who have taken their
‘deen’ as a sport and past-time, and have been deluded by the life of this
world. Nevertheless, you go on
admonishing them by reciting the Quran to them, lest any person should be seized because of his own deeds; and that too, at a time, when there would be
no protector, no helper and no
intercessor to rescue him from Allah;
when no conceivable amount of ransom would be accepted from him. This is because such people shall be
seized, in consequence of what they themselves had earned.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 23-24:And if you be in doubt whether the
Book We have sent down to Our Servant is from Us or not, then produce, at
least, one surah like this. You may
call all your associates to assist you and avail yourselves of the help of any,
other than Allah. If you are genuine in your doubt, do this! But if you do not do this, and you can never
do this, then fear the Fire which has been prepared for the disbelievers, and
which shall have men and stones for fuel.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verses 43-44:So, hold fast to the Book that has
been revealed to you, you are surely on the Siraat al Mustaqeem. The fact is that this book is a great honor
for you and your people, and soon you shall be CALLED TO ACCOUNT for it.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 157-158:Now that a clear proof, a Guidance
and Blessing, has come to you from your Lord,
who can be more unjust than the one who treats Our Revelations as false
and turns away from them? We will
inflict the severest torment on those who turn away from Our Revelations
because of their aversion. Do the
people now await that the angels should come down before them? Or that your Lord may Himself come
down? Or that the manifest Signs of
your Lord should appear?
Your comment:
There are Surahs in the Quran about - Munafiq, Jin and also Momin you must be
aware of that.
There are indeed Surahs in the
Glorious Quran titled Al-Manaafiqoon (Surah 63), Surah Jinn (Surah 72),
and Al Muminoon (Surah 23).
I really do aplogize brother, as
I really am not able to understand your line of questioning. I have tried to address your questions the
best I can. If you could make your
questions specific, we would be more than happy to reply those for you for the
Pleasure of Allah, Insha Allah.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in Islam,
