Women dress

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Asalamualiukm...
My question is about hijab,in a saheeh hadeeth that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen yet. People with whips like the tails of cattle, with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed yet naked, walking with an enticing gait. They will not enter Paradise nor even smell its fragrance, although its fragrance may be detected from such and such a distance.”

Does this hadeeth means for examples there are women who wear half sleeve dresses,or covers their head but not compltely showing half of their hair, will these women enter paradise? does this hadiths talks about that sort of women? Please clarify..

Thanks

Answer:

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Muslim Hadith 5310     Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make others incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas it odour would be smelt from such and such distance (from great distance).’

Sahih Muslim Hadith 6840     Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘There are two types, amongst the denizens of Hell, I have yet not seen them. One possessing whips like the tail of an ox and they flog people with them. (The second one) the women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Paradise and they would not perceive the odour ofParadise, although its fragrance can be perceived from such and such distance (from great distance).’

Sister the Prophet saws was describing two types of women who will come in later times (they are visible nowadays) who will make their hair in a blob above their head like they are carrying a bird's nest with a long tail like attachment hanging around and another type who will be wearing very skimpy dresses like the bikini and/or very transparent clothing which will seem to the onlooker as if they were naked. Such type of women will not enter paradise nor even be able to smell the fragrance of heaven even though that fragrance can be smelt and detected from quite a distance by normal people. In other words, not only paradise will be haraam for them, they will not get to smell the sweet fragrances that come from there. Those women that expose their satr and not cover themselves up as commanded will face the same penalty.

If one trusts,  obeys,  and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes,  obeys and follows any other guidance,  other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws),  one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
