Answer:
Hajj
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah Verse 196:
196 And complete the Hajj or `Umra in the service of Allah. But if ye are prevented (from completing it) send an offering for sacrifice such as ye may find and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp (necessitating shaving) (he should) in compensation either fast or feed the poor or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again) if anyone wishes to continue the 'Umra on to the Hajj he must make an offering such as he can afford it he should fast three days during the Hajj and seven days on his return making ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah and know that Allah is strict in punishment.
The absolute majority of the scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that Hajj-Tamatto or Hajj-Qiraan (where one does the Umrah and the Hajj pilgrimages in one trip) may only be performed by those whose household is not in the vicinity of Makkah. For those whose households are in the vicinity of Makkah, it is preferred that they perform the Hajj-Ifraad (Hajj alone) during the Hajj days, and perform the Umrah at other times of the year so that the Sacred House of Allah is never empty or unvisited.
There are basically three opinions amongst the scholars regarding the phrase: ‘those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque’.
1) Those who are residents of the city of Makkah.
2) Those who reside within the prescribed ‘hudood’ of Makkah.
3) Those who reside within the area prescribed as ‘meeqat’.
The vast majority of the scholars and jurists in Islam, including Imam Maalik of the Maaliki School of Thought, are of the opinion that the believers who are fortunate to reside within the ‘meeqat’ area must not perform Hajj-Tamatto or Hajj-Qiran, but rather it is preferred that they perform the Hajj-Ifraad (Hajj only) and perform the Umrah pilgrimages at other times of the year.
Respected brother, since you happen to reside in Jeddah which is within the ‘meeqat’ area, it would be preferred and more meritorious that you do not perform Hajj-Tamatto or Hajj-Qiran, but rather perform ‘Hajj-Ifraad’ (Hajj only).

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu
I am in big dialema. I live in Jeddah. I have been preparing 2 perform hajj for the past 1 year. I had performed umrah in the month of shawwal without knowing that a mufrid is not supposed to perform umrah in the months of hajj. Now later i forced my husband to perform umrah in the month of dhul hijjah thinking that it is alright to perform haj e tamattu nw tat the mistake has been done. I heard that a person residing in meeqat HAS to perform Hajj e ifrad... What shud i do nw? Shud i perform hajj e ifrad or shud i go ahead n perform hajj e tamattu?? is there ny expiation for this? may Allah forgive me n guide me.

Hajj of the person living within the limit of Meeqaat, off course Jeddah falls under Meeqaat limit,
He has to perform Hajj only, means Hajj without Qurabani (Sacrifice). It is because the person living within this limit usually performs Umrah several times during his stay there, as the persons concern of the question have already did.
Both husband and wife in the case question, may perform, Hajj Ifraad, means only Hajj with all of its rituals, except Qurabani as its obligatory ritual in both of the Hajj Tamttu and Qiraan The Umrah they (husband and wife) performed in the month of Shawwal and Dhul Hijja shall be considered as the Naffel voluntary Umrah and not a part of Hajj Tamattu or Qiraan; and this shall not be having any effect on their Hajj Ifraad.
So, they may perform Hajj Ifraad in this year itself.
