38) Chapter: It is disliked to be eager to acquire worldly gains
Abu Huraira reported from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as having said this:
The heart of an old person feels young for the love of two things: love for long life and wealth.
38) باب كَرَاهَةِ الْحِرْصِ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ . " قَلْبُ الشَّيْخِ شَابٌّ عَلَى حُبِّ اثْنَتَيْنِ حُبِّ الْعَيْشِ وَالْمَالِ "
