What to say after adhaan iqama.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear Brother Burhan, Assalaamu alaikum

Here is a question regarding reciting after Adhan & after Iqamathu Salah. We know and everybody knows there is a duaa after Adhan (Allahumma Rabba Hjihiddava.....) & also we will follw this after hearing Adhan. But here is a Imam who is leading Namaz in a Camp Masjid. He is reciting the same duaa as for Adhan after hearing Iqamathu Salah (loudly) and Ayathul Kursi (little reduced sound) and then Niyath for Namaz and then starting namaz Allahu Akbar. Now I want to know is there is a Duaa same as Adhan & Ayathu Kursi also after Iqamathu Salah as per Hadith & Sunnah. Please let me know should all Mukthadi also say the Duaa with Imam when that Imam says loudly as per Hadith & Sunnah. And another question is Some people reciting Duaa Al Adhan as "Haq or Haqqan La Ilahah Illallah Mohammadur Rasoolullah and then Allahumma Rabba Hajihiddava.... Please let me know here we can say this Haqqan La Ilaah Illallah or not as per Hadith & Sunna? Insha Allah Looking your Reply at the earliest.

Answer:

What to say after adhaan iqama

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Now I want to know is there is a Duaa same as Adhan & Ayathu Kursi also after Iqamathu Salah as per Hadith & Sunnah.

It is Sunnah for the believers who hear the ‘Adhaan’ to repeat it after the Muaddhin (caller to prayer) and to recite the supplication ‘Allah humma Rabba hade it da’awa…..).

But to recite this supplication and/or the ‘Aayat ul-Kursi’ after the declaration of the ‘Iqamah’ is definitely not from amongst the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) and should thus be avoided.

Your Question: Please let me know here we can say this Haqqan La Ilaah Illallah or not as per Hadith & Sunna?

When the ‘Muaddhin’ declares the last statements of the Adhaan ‘Laa ilaaha illalaah’, it is from amongst the Sunnah to repeat the statement of the Muaddhin.  If one declares merely ‘Laa ilaaha illalaah’ or says ‘Haqqan Laa ilaaha illalaah’ there is absolutely no harm.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
