Answer:

Can prophet determine their death times

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 145:

145    Nor can a soul die except by Allah's leave; the term being fixed as by Decree.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 63 Surah Munafeqoon verse 11:

11      But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for its death) has come: and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraf verse 34:

34      To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached not an hour (moment) can they cause delay, nor (a moment) can they advance it!

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.359         Narrated by Aisha

When Allah's Messenger (saws) was healthy, he (saws) used to say, "No prophet dies till he is shown his place in Paradise." So when death approached the Prophet (saws)(during his illness), and while his head was on my thigh, he (saws) became unconscious for a while, and when he (saws) recovered, he (saws) fixed his eyes on the ceiling and said, "O Allah! (Let me join) the Highest Companions (see Qur'an 4.69)." I said, "So, he does not choose us." Then I realized that it was the application of the statement he used to relate to us when he was healthy. So that was the last utterance (before he (saws) died), i.e. "O Allah! (Let me join) the Highest Companions."

The Angel of Death takes out the soul of each and every individual at the exact Decree of Allah Subhanah; thus the exact time and place of the death of each individual rests with Allah Subhanah Alone; but Allah Subhanah bestows His Prophets with the honor that the Angel of Death takes the permission of the Prophets of Allah before he draws out their soul from their bodies.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
