As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

ALSALAMU ALAYKOM,

I went to this guy and he told me that i had a sihr put on me. he told me to come the next day for the medicine and when i came back, he had these hirooz ready for me and said these will help you. i strongly believe Allah is the most powerful and i treat these hirooz as if they are nothing. how can i get rid of them? should i take them back to erase them or what? will they affect my life? i dont believe they will help me since i`m a muslim. i wanted medicine, but got hirooz, am i guilty of shirk? will my prayers still count? i am moving and im not taking those with me. the guy said they have to be with you at all times, but i feel thats really wrong. please help!!!

Answer:

Cure for magic

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah is our witness brother, if all the Jinns and all the magicians of the world were to get together and plot and plan to bring about any harm upon anyone, they would not even be able to damage even one hair on the body of that individual without the precise Will and Permission of Allah Subhanah, the Lord of the Worlds!  Thus one should neither fear the Jinns, nor the magicians, nor their supposed evil…..but rather one should fear Allah their Lord, and keep their full trust and belief in Him and Him Alone.

Allah Says in His Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah Fatir verse 2:

2        What Allah out of His Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can withhold: what He doth withhold there is none can grant apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power Full of Wisdom.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 160:

If Allah helps you none can overcome you: if He forsakes you who is there after that that can help you?  In Allah then let believers put their trust.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 51:

Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us:  He is our Protector";  and on Allah let the believers put their trust.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 17:

17      If Allah touch thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness He hath power over all things.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 3:

And put your trust in Allah Alone; and enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

If ever one fears any evil from any quarter, the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws) dictates that one recite the Muawwidhaat (Surahs 113 Al-Falaq and 114 An-Naas), seeking refuge and putting their complete trust and faith in the Power and Strength and Protection of Allah Subhanah Alone; it is expected that their Lord Most High will protect them from any and all evil, and no evil or harm will be able to approach them from any quarter.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4563        Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri

Allah's Messenger (saws used to seek refuge in Allah from jinn and the evil eye in men till the Mu'awwidhatan (Surah 113 Al-Falaq and Surah 114 An-Naas) were revealed, after which he (saws) made use of them and abandoned everything else.

The practice of the Messenger of Allah (saws) was to recite the Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Naas at least three times in the mornings and the evenings, and also when he (saws) retired for the night to sleep…..

Abdallah b. Habib reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Speak." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah (saws), what should I say?" He (saws) replied, "Recite Surat Al-Ikhlas, and the two last Surahs (i.e. Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas) in the morning and evening three times, and it will suffice you for everything."

Your Question: ….i strongly believe Allah is the most powerful and i treat these hirooz as if they are nothing. how can i get rid of them? should i take them back to erase them or what? will they affect my life? i dont believe they will help me since i`m a muslim. i wanted medicine, but got hirooz, am i guilty of shirk? will my prayers still count?

Respected brother, whatever this ‘hirooz’ is, rest assured that it has no power in the least to affect your life.  Your life, in its entirety, is in the Sole Control of Allah Subhanah Alone!  Get rid of this ‘hirooz’ (whatever it is) any which way you will and keep your faith and your trust firm in your Lord Creator Alone.

Because you did not entrust your belief in the ‘hirooz’, rest assured that neither are you guilty of being involved in shirk nor does it effect the validity of your prayers in the least.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
