Answer:

Contagious sexual disease

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: ….i have repented to Allah and i want to get married , what should i do?  should i just go ahead and get a wife without telling her about this or should i tell her about it

Respected brother in Islam, there is absolutely no requirement or obligation in Shariah that every believer who seeks marriage has to undergo a prior ‘medical check-up’ or produce a ‘medical certificate’ certifying that they are free from a contagious disease or ailment before they get married!

But if one has prior knowledge and knows for sure that one is effected by a serious or contagious disease….then indeed it would be a moral obligation of the one who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, and akin to piety and righteousness in the Sight of their Lord, that one clearly make it known to the guardians of the bride regarding their medical condition before their marriage.  If the bride, for any reason thereafter, chooses to agree to marry that person, there is absolutely no harm or restriction in Shariah in marrying that woman.

If one has a prior medical condition of such a serious nature and one intentionally chooses not to disclose or withhold that information from the prospective bride or her guardians before the marriage, it would indeed constitute a grave sin in the Sight of the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
