Do wudu after ghusl bath.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Kindly let me know wheather after bath with wet hair we can not "wazu" .We should wait for drying hair ( Head ).

Do wudu after ghusl bath

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The ‘Ghusl’ or full bath is a bigger form of physical purification than the ‘wudu’; thus if one has performed the ‘ghusl’ with the intention to purify oneself, there is absolutely no need or no obligation to redo the ‘wudu’ again before making oneself available for prayer.

But if one has done the ‘ghusl’ or full bath of purification, and if for any reason one has broken one’s state of ‘wudu’ after their ‘ghusl’ and wishes to perform the ‘wudu’, there is absolutely nothing in the authentic and established Sunnah which restricts them from performing their ‘wudu’, absolutely regardless of whether their hair is still wet from the ‘ghusl’ or dried!

The wetness of one’s hair is absolutely unrelated to the performance or state of one’s ‘wudu’.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,
