When there is no clear restriction on Oral sex why a muslim couple should refrain from it? Only because some scholars have diffrent opinion on it?

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Salam

My Question(s) :

(1)Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter Surah  Baqarah        verse 223:

"Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will."

It is simple and common sense.

How then an ordinary couple would refrain from Anal sex?

(2) You wrote and i quote :

"Islam has allowed the husband and the wife in marriage every possible liberty to enjoy conjugal relations with each other, except three:

It is strictly prohibited to have sexual intercourse with one's wife during her period of menstruation.

It is strictly prohibited to enter the woman through her anus.

Although there is no specific prohibition mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, the majority of the scholars in Islam have voiced their opinion against 'oral' sex, whereby one touches the other's private organs with their mouth."

Why don't you write sources from Quran and Sunnah which prohibit a muslim couple from doing these three things?

(3) When there is no clear restriction on Oral sex why a muslim couple should refrain from it? Only because some scholars have diffrent opinion on it?

Scholars have one million diffrences between them and they can't be followed every time.

I hope you give authentic sources from Quaran or Suunah.

I Pray and Hope that you will recieve this message in the best of your moods and times.

Answer:

Anal and oral sex

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Why don't you write sources from Quran and Sunnah which prohibit a muslim couple from doing these three things?

Ref: Evidence from the Quran and Sunnah to abstain from sexual intercourse during the woman’s menstruation:

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 222:

222    They ask thee (O Prophet (saws)) concerning women's courses (menstruation).  Say: ‘They are a hurt and a pollution; so keep away from women in their courses and do not approach (have sexual intercourse with) them until they are clean.  But when they have purified themselves ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah.  For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 3895  Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘If anyone resorts to a diviner and believes in what he says or has intercourse with his wife when she is menstruating, or has intercourse with his wife through her anus: he has nothing to do with what has been sent down to Muhammad (saws)!’

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Do everything (during the woman’s menstruation) except intercourse." (Related by Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)

Ref: Evidence from the Quran and Sunnah to abstain from sexual intercourse through the woman’s anus:

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3192        Narrated by Khuzaymah ibn Thabit

The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah is not ashamed of the Truth!  Do not have intercourse with women through the anus."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3195        Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Allah will not look at a man who has intercourse with a man or a woman through the anus."

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2157  Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘He who has intercourse with his wife through her anus is accursed.

Allah and His Messenger (saws) have specified as absolutely unlawful for a believer who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day to enjoy conjugal relations with his wife during her menses and through her anus.

Ref: Ruling regarding ‘oral sex’

Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, it is obvious that the act of ‘oral sex’, whereby one spouse derives pleasure by touching the private parts of the other with their mouth is obviously unnatural, unhealthy, unhygienic, unclean, impure and this act is not found even in any of the lower animate creations!

Because oral sex is a new deviation of mankind, it finds mention neither in the Quran nor the Sunnah, just as there is no mention of the permissibility/impermissibility of man deriving pleasure by trying to enter the woman through her nose, ears, navel, etc.!!!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verse 157:

157    Those who follow the Messenger, the ‘Ummi’ (unlettered) Prophet (Mohammed (saws)) whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures); in the Law and the Gospel; for he (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil: he allows them as lawful what is ‘tayyibaat’ (good and pure) and prohibits them from what is ‘Khabaayith’ (bad, evil and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them.  So it is those who believe in him, honor him, help him, and follow the Light which is sent down with him: it is they who will prosper."

But since the permissibility/impermissibility of this specific act of what is known today as ‘oral sex’ is not mentioned by name or act anywhere in the Quran and the Sunnah, the God-fearing and the pious amongst the scholars in Islam have abstained from declaring it ‘haraam’; the most they have said is that the act is from the ‘khabaaith’ (impure) and thus closer to the haraam than to the halaal, and the believers should fear Allah and abstain from it.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.267         Narrated by An Numan bin Bashir

The Prophet (saws) said "Both the halaal (lawful) and the haraam (unlawful) things are (made) obvious, and in between them are (suspicious) doubtful matters.  So whoever forsakes those doubtful things lest he may commit a sin, will definitely avoid what is clearly unlawful; and whoever indulges in these (suspicious) doubtful things bravely, is likely to commit what is clearly illegal.  Sins are Allah's Hima (i.e. private pasture) and whoever pastures (his sheep) near it, is likely to get in it at any moment."

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
