I have few comments with reference to the Question 5021. While it may be true that there are weak Hadith in Fazail-e-Aamal

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

ASALAMUALAIKUM!!
respected brother in ISLAM u shouldn`t have posted what u posted about fazael-e-amal book. I was a regular reader of ur wesite but now very disappointed. If eva such fabrications do exist (i pray they don`t), they can neva misguide anyone as they r fazail only and not masail which offcourse and ALHAMDULILAH aint fabricated.

jazakALLAH.

Reference Question No.5021

I have few comments with reference to the Question 5021. While it may be true that there are weak Hadith in Fazail-e-Aamal but isn`t it correct that weak Hadith are acceptable while talking about Fazail (virtues)? One may argue that weak hadith cannot be taken when talking about Masayil (like Fiqh) but Fazail-e-Aamal, as is clear from the name, is a book talking about virtues of good deeds and not on how to perform those deeds like prayers, fasting, Hajj etc.

My second comment relates to your statement where you have written the name of Christian`s book Bible next to Fazail-e-Aamal. Your statement seems to treat both the books equally. Is it your intention to do it like this or do you consider the latter book different since it contains Quranic verses and hundreds of authentic hadith as well.

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:

Fazail amal  fabricated hadiths

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Dear and beloved brother in Islam, it is indeed an absolutely false belief that something can be invented and falsely attributed to the Messenger of Allah (saws) as long as it is a ‘fazail’ (virtue) and not a ‘masail’ (issue of law) in Islam!!!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 232         Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘Be mindful when transmitting a Hadith from me. (Transmit) only that which you know (very well) for he who intentionally lies about me will find his abode in Hell-Fire.’

Sahih Muslim Hadith 7147     Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “He who attributed any falsehood to me (intentionally), he should in fact find his abode in the Hell-Fire.”

Beloved brother in Islam, as many verses of the Glorious Quran and the Sahih Hadeeths which are quoted in the book ‘fazail-e-amal’, the book also contains a number of falsehoods which attributed to the Noble Prophet (saws) which are at best deemed as ‘dhaeef’ (weak) narrations, and worst absolutely ‘marfu’ or fabricated!

Here is a small list of examples of the fabricated and weak hadiths from the book ‘fazail-e-amal’ which are falsely attributed to the Noble Messenger of Allah (saws):

"Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave ....

"My Companions are like the stars in the heavens: whichever of them you follow, you will be rightly guided.....

"He who raises his hands during the prayer, there is no prayer for him.......

"He who recites (Surah Fatihah) behind the imaam, his mouth is filled with fire............

"There will be a man among my ummah known as Abu Haneefah, who will be the lamp of my ummah......

"There will come a man who is worse than Ad Dajjal, whose name will be Muhammad ibn Idris (Imam Shafee)...

"Disagreement amongst scholars (of Islam) is a Mercy from Allah....

"Disagreement will occur at the death of a khaleefa and a Man of the People of Madeenah will come forth......

"Love of ones homeland is part of faith.....

"Allaah says, ‘neither My Heaven or My earth can contain Me........

"The One who knows himself, knows his Lord......

"I was a Prophet while Adam was between clay and water....

"I was a hidden treasure, and I wished to be known, so I Created (Human Being).....

"Allaah says, ‘were it not for you (O Muhammad ) I would not have created the universe.’"

"The Example of my Companions is that of the stars: he who follows any of them will be rightly guided."

"I asked my Lord about that which my Companions would disagree about after me, so Allaah inspired me:

"When he raised his hands in du'aa', he would not put them down until he had wiped his face with them."

"Whoever visits me after I die, it is as if he visited me when I was still alive…

“Whoever sleeps after ‘Asr and loses his mind has no one to blame except himself”?

“I am a tree, ‘Ali is its trunk, Fatimah is its branches and Hasan and Husayn are its fruits....

“Learn Witchcraft (siher), But do not use it...

Beloved brother in Islam, to propagate a falsehood and attribute it to the Messenger of Allah (saws) intentionally is indeed a grave sin in the Sight of Allah Subhanah, regardless of whether it is a ‘fazail’ or a ‘masail’ in the deen.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
